KNITTING: Although this fab jumper has a chunky look, the heavy rib pattern it is knitted in UK double knitting (maybe closer now to a modern Aran or worsted/5ply). It is just such a wearable and attractive style to knit for your man or for yourself-or a lady! I love that iconic very vintage look of a yoke/ envelope /bateau neckline.

The yellow is so cheerful, an ‘atomic era’ favourite; but the poor man modelling it looks a little uncertain... probably someone’s brother or uncle dragged in to help...  doing his best, notwithstanding the and unruly hair before hair products and less than perfect post war dentistry teeth.
