KNITTING: This lovely sixties toy pattern for four exceptionally charming characters.
There is a gentle vintage and traditional feel to these toys; a classic teddy, Scottie dog, cute little sitting cat and an unusual “farmer rabbit”. I think there is some confusion over the rabbit /farmer thing; the farmer was chasing Peter rabbit as I recall .. but he does have his very own farmer wellie boots in felt-and his own carrot too.
The toys (except for farmer rabbit) are knitted in a fuzzy yarn that could be “brushed” to give the fluffy look of mohair. Bunny was made in UK double knitting (light worsted) yarn.
This leaflet was sold in the high street “Scotch Wool Shop”- a chain of wool shops-if only such a thing existed now!
