KNITTED: A really shapely retro bikini, with a tad more cover than skimpy modern ones but just as feminine! It has a deep full cup and “boy shorts” hipster panties with a contrast texture garter stitch hip band.
This is a really nice piece of knitting with plenty of interest but not difficult.
It has wonderful stitch detailing; picking out the cups, straps, leg edges and hipline in contrasting garter stitch. There is a visible dart line in eyelets on the upper cup; there is a lower cup dart too but it is not shown in the knitting. The top is knitted in one piece and short row shaping is used on the bottom.
In the bouclé thread it really looks retro; but you can use what you prefer. I can see this as a neat bralette in soft wool or silky yarn; or even as cosy winter undies in a colder climate!
