KNITTING: This cute retro elephant, “Hortense”, is made from a rare seventies magazine pattern. This unusual sitting elephant is very characterful, with her large felt eyes and embroidered daisy flowers. She would look very stylish in a nursery, and black and white is known to be stimulating for babies eyes. Of course Hortense can be knitted in any colours you like, and her embroidered could be multi-coloured, or just left of altogether. The basic knitted shape is such a nice one however it is styled.
Originally knitted in UK DK (8ply, light worsted) she is a manageable 10 inches (25cm) high. You could get a smaller clutch toy size if 4ply is used.
