CROCHET: A join- as- you- go method blanket, or afghan, pattern. The individual flower motifs are based on a hexagon- very similar to the “African flower” or “Paperweight” hexagon.
The overall effect is of a pretty “open” lacy scatter of floral shapes. A lighter shade for the background joining will give a more delicate look; darker tones give the standard “stained glass” colouring of a traditional granny blanket. This one can be done as a great stash buster in oddments-and the flowers themselves could be made with a different colour centre, for a variation.
