KNITTING: this sixties pattern makes into two very different but equally pretty summer tops in double knitting (light worsted/8ply) .
One has bands of lace alternating with vertical bands of a reverse stocking stitch background. The unusual high roll collar is also knitted in the lace stitch. The other is a simple shape but made in a gorgeous leaf shaped lace stitch with a round neckline and hemline shaped into scallops by this lace.
