CROCHET:- A quick and easy crochet dress in simple crochet stitches from 1970; with a hippy boho vibe. Although this is shown as an overdress, or mid-season layer - it would be great as it is for adventurous party dress or beachwear; and perfect for festivals!!

It is a perfect bit of easily packable clothing for festivals; where that layered look may well be needed for warmth-in the UK anyhow!). You can keep the “pretty” look going even in a jumper and leggings ! (When the sun comes out-strip back to pretty undies and pop it back on top!)

It would also make as a cute top or skirt, as stand-alone pieces. The top half is made in an unusual picot stitch-easy but very intricate looking.

Originally made in thick “Health Vest” cotton thread, also used in the seventies for bedspreads (and of course the string vests for men, hence the name)!  However a modern cotton synthetic mix would be lighter to wear. However that cotton weight is virtually indestructible (it had to be for men’s underwear LOL).
