CROCHET:  This beautiful wrap looks stunning but is not too difficult to crochet. The lovely lotus flower stitch design is formed with just 8 rows, some of which are duplicated.  It was originally called a “lacy stole”; stoles were the epitome elegant evening wear and this example would have been worn to show off both good taste and crochet skills!  For today you could also make it a little narrower, as a soft scarf or it would be a delightful wedding wrap for an elegant bride.

The same hook is used throughout, then a smaller one is used just for the edging.

(You could edge with the same hook if you don’t have the smaller one.)
