CROCHET: A really unique retro sixties man jacket in perfect 60s mod style. This is an unusual pattern for a man’s jacket ; I have loads of crochet patterns for men - mainly quite grandpa orientated - but this is actually very retro stylish!
The little Nehru collar and “leather” bound edges and buttons all add really authentic sixties touch. However they also give instructions for a crocheted edging and for today there are mock leather trims if leather itself does not appeal. A nice little bit of menswear you can create at home.
As a bonus it is easy to make and quite quick too, made as it is in thick yarn ( Aran/chunky at 10stitches per 4inch /10cm on 6.60mm / USA 10J or 10K hook’s )
Of course if your man is not into sixties style, just don’t tell him LOL. The basic shape is still a handy no fuss cardie to keep him cosy ( or you make it for it yourself ! ).
