CROCHET: This long lace gown from a 70s magazine is described as beautiful for evening wear. They go on to say it could be worn out over an evening dress ( as an” opera coat”) –or (more likely!) at home. It would make a cosy dressing gown --in my opinion- it would make a lovely wedding robe or as evening wear. I guess it could be used as a cosy robe once its party life is over!

Beautiful flared sleeves.

Or stick to one LOL...I can see this as a wedding coat too. Or just made shorter as a jacket...

The flared or fluted shape sleeves are so pretty and would allow a long sleeved evening dress to be seen.  The bodice front and neck are edged in shell stitches with self covered crochet buttons (Instructions are also given for them).

It would also look nice made shorter, as a jacket...

I have a similar pattern for a midi length sleeveless dress –WZ039.

Also, other long robes I have are WZ391 and WZ429... if you are looking for a wedding garment.
