CROCHET: A pattern for bib top shorts or hot pants! This vintage style was short lived but is back in fashion with a vengeance.
These are great fun for a retro 70s look; with a mock fly front and bold buckles, but would also crochet up as nice simple shorts without the retro bib front! I have lot of other variations on crochet shorts in different shapes… this one was made up for “Simply Crochet” magazine - with a couple of tweaks - so they approved the modern vibe to it too LOL. They added a watermelon appliqué and just buttons - no fly!
Currently worn with bare legs in summer - but also seen over thick tights / pantyhose for cooler weather (for the brave!).
