CROCHET: This Seventies pattern for a crochet bedjacket is made in “quickknit” a soft yarn slightly thicker than worsted - (ie Aran / chunky). Therefore it has more potential than just for keeping warm at home!

It could easily be the basis for a caplet or even a daywear jacket as it is basically a cropped jacket-worked “top down” from a circular yoke.

The sleeve and hem are slightly flared - so they are roomy and comfy in wear - just what you need when layering, or relaxing in your boudoir! (Eco friendly too, LOL)

NB- and yes, seventies UK homes did not always have central heating; hence bed jacket patterns were still created and made up for wearing at that time. However they tend to be chunkier textured knits compared to the delicate 40s and 50s ones (for speedier creating in the modern, time poor, world).

So, use your imagination and look at the structure of them... you may find just the thing you need for outerwear, disguised as a pink boudoir confection.
