CROCHET: A fab version if an iconic sixties look; the micro mini crochet dress. This is another design from the “Barbara Warner Couture” studio range; such innovative and straightforward patterns. It is made in a chunky lace of shell stitches, with a buttoned front to just below the drawstring waistline and trimmed with a picot edge.
There is a set of these lacy mini dresses described and styled as a “tennis dress”- set alongside a more daywear option. Maybe a not so subtle nudge to accustom ladies to the new and scandalous micro mini length! Who knew just 3 more pattern repeats on the hemline take it from court to cocktail - apparently! (Plus I have a later version of the style as a maxi of this as a maxi dress-they knew how to work a good pattern for maximum use!
