CROCHET: A simple and modest vintage 70s crochet bikini and beach coverup jacket.
The bikini is done in plain trebles (USA dc) so it quick and easy to crochet. The cups of the bikini top are made separately then attached part way at the bottom edge, leaving an unattached “V” shape notch detail.
The bottom part can be altered for the degree of coverage you want –as it is worked upwards from the crotch.
The jacket, or waistcoat/vest, has optional patch pockets and is worked in an easy 4row slip stitch stipe pattern which gives a more complex chequered appearance.
