CROCHET: A very patriotic bikini in many countries! You can make it in any colours you like-or even in just one-but the shape is very good and it is a simple pattern to make. Great for a first attempt at making a bikini or for a festival bra top.
The halter style top is crocheted in a simple “v” stitch, buttoned at the back, and both top and bottom have the edging stitches worked over “round” or cord elastic for a good fit.
The Cotton thread is a UK DK/8ply/light worsted-so it works up quickly too. A modern equivalent cotton/synthetic blend with a stretchy fibre added is a good alternative and dries quicker!
