CROCHET: A simple crochet suit in 1960’s London mod style; very comfortable for a sassy daywear look and easy to make.

The jacket is worked seamlessly, sideways! The skirt has a little shaping (at centre back, for your derriere) but an elasticated waistband for comfort and easy construction.

You can go with the stripes (maybe avoiding any “escaping convict” colour schemes!) or make it plain. A stretchy, mock rib, fabric is achieved by working into the back loop only- rather than the usual two top loops.

The jacket might translate well into a textured yarn; woolly for a winter look or cotton boucle for summer.

In the photo it looks as though the buttons are also handmade –crocheted in the same yarn. There are no instructions for this but it would give a nice effect and I am happy to add in a pattern for some if required-just ask.
