A CROCHET pattern for a chic 60s mod dress (or as a top and skirt). Very elegant, great for weddings, as shown in silk/lurex for evening; or cotton for summer days. The bodice is in a denser-more modest- stitch pattern ( not showing too well in the image).  So you get the best of both worlds ! The less brave ( or leggy ) can make a slip under the skirt; but it is certainly eye catching as it is! The dress is made from the waist up and waist down-so this could easily be made as two pieces; skirt is worked onto the ( finished ) bodice so you could just finish the bottom edge of the bodice - or make just the skirt -with or without a waistband.  NB the skirt is very short, approx 16inches / 40cm, ( the whole dress is 32” long ) but can easily be adjusted; you can just see the hem on the right hand side of the pattern. This is created from a vintage 1960s Barbara Warner C64 crochet pattern from my collection, emailed to you as a PDF.
