KNITTING: This charming teddy is so characterful; dressed in his simple outfit of sleeveless jumper and trousers (sweater and pants) he looks charming with authentic vintage style. His clothes are knitted separately so can be removed-or his wardrobe can easily be increased with extras! In the suggested pale blue they do have a nautical look which was popular at the time for little boys.
This pattern comes from a very rare “cuddly toys” booklet from the Sunday Pictorial. The booklet of toys full of popular characters of the time (1920s-1950s) including “Pip, Squeak and Wilfred” of cartoon fame. (Also available).
