So this warm squishy Teddy is useful for extra comfort on cold nights as well as being appealing for cuddles in sad times!
Of course you could just make him as a toy or pyjama case instead…. and easily adapt this shape to be a cat or bunny if those would be a better choice for your little one!
This old pattern suggests filling the limbs with old stockings (or tights / pantyhose today - and clean presumably!). Always an eco-friendly option … or just use normal toy filling which can also be washed very nicely! You have to bear in mind the alternatives in those days were kapok or cotton wool… neither good in the wash !
