KNITTING: A sweet pattern from a vintage 1955 Stitchcraft magazine. A lovely Christmas themed doll to knit of just 7 inches (17.5cm) height (if made at 28sitches to 10cm). Her size could be altered by yarn choice. The pattern creates a rather Wistful looking elf with an embroidered face.
She wears a petal trimmed suit which is knitted in one with the body-with petals knitted and sewn on. They could also be picked up from the body if you wished-even more secure for tiny ones. However, if preferred you could also make the doll all in skin colour and make separate clothing (see my notes on the pattern).
