KNITTING: A vintage Sirdar knitting pattern for two beautiful matinee coats (or baby jackets).
The one shown in white has a raglan sleeve and is in a traditional ripple stitch of waves or “feather and fan”.
The second, in yellow, is an unusual one; it has panelled gores defined by eyelets, flared from a circular yoke of decorative bands of stocking stitch and garter stitch, also with eyelets.
Both are adorable; the yellow one is retro but with a stylish twist, the white one perfectly traditional and dainty. I would think this pattern would cover you for almost the style preference of all baby mamas and make up as perfect gifts for a new baby!
